Sophia's Fall Will Play in The New York Musical Theatre Festival 2008!

We've been dropping hints about big news for months now. Here it is: Sophia's Fall, formerly Paradise Lost, will play in NYMF's 2008 Dance Series!
This September, we will raise the curtain on Sophia's Fall as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's 2008 Dance Series. NYMF is the largest musical theatre event in the world.

We have some amazing talent lined up to participate in Sophia's Fall - from veteran musical director Mary Ann Ivan to our acclaimed director choreographer Jason Summers to a top-flight cast and pit band. Because Sophia's Fall will appear in NYMF's Dance Series, we are putting a heavy 'movement spin' on the production, and backing it up with a full rock arrangement of all the numbers. Our costumes and merchandise will be envisioned by Chad Beatty (www.chadbeatty.com - check out this man's website, he has some tremendous work there). I will not settle for any production that is less than fully awesome, and that is what we will deliver in September.
The venue and dates will be forthcoming in another email later this month - but I can tell you that we will play between September 15th and October 5th, in Manhattan's theatre district.

We're going to use this blog to give you all the information you need to enjoy the run-up and production of Sophia's Fall. (If email is easier for you, join our list!) Lest you think that to be an entirely self-serving statement, let me say this: Chad is putting together some very slick merchandise for us to use in raising money for the production, some of which we will be giving away as contest prizes. In early August, we'll be posting five sneak previews of fully rocked up songs from the show, which you will be able to download and enjoy for free. (You can already download the entire demo album!) Finally, you'll be able to get information about tickets, including how to get them early. (Sneak preview: Become a member of NYMF.)
